JPC Families!

We’ve got several great things going on and coming up for Children, Youth, and Families at JPC! Summer VBS program planning is in the works and will be right around the corner, so be looking for more info to come! Please reach out to Jane for any more information, or if you would be willing to volunteer with these programs in the life of the church.

Worship & Prayer Buddies: We have been offering a youth program on worship after the children’s sermon on Sunday mornings. It will go until Palm Sunday, April 2^nd, and as part of the goal of the program, the kids and youth will be transitioning back to staying in worship after the children’s sermon on Palm Sunday. Going along with this, we are planning to have a Worship & Prayer Buddy program that will pair an adult with each kid or youth (Elementary & Middle School) who would like to be a part of this starting the Sunday before Palm Sunday – March 26^th. They will have the opportunity to sit together in worship occasionally, join for other times that JPC kids & youth meet, and commit to be in prayer for them each week. Lenten Meditation/Prayer Series: Children & Youth will not meet on March 12 & March 19 (over Spring Break), but will meet the last 2 Sundays (March 26 & April 2) from 5:30-6 PM. This has been a great opportunity for children, youth, and families to participate in an intergenerational Lenten prayer time that includes music, readings, and silent prayer. Children & youth join the adults for the beginning and ending parts and go with Jane to the youth room for the middle portion. We will plan to have a soup & bread dinner together after the last session (April 2^nd) to close the series as we look forward to Easter!

Dates to Look Forward to: Sunday, April 16^th – Family Fun Outing from 4-6pm (more info to come!)

Sunday, April 23^rd – Holston Youth Skate Night at Johnson City Family Skate Center from 5:30-7:30pm. Drop off & pick up from the Skate Center. All ages welcome; several churches in the Holston Presbytery will be going. This will be such a fun night you don’t want to miss!

Mondays in May – Monday night Youth Group will return from 6-7 pm: May 8^th, May 15^th, May 22nd
