Shalom Circle

Shalom Circle

Shalom Circle is a Women's Ministry of Jonesborough Presbyterian Church.

The Shalom Circle will host its annual Christmas dinner along with both live and silent auctions on Friday,  December 5th.  Mark your calendars now for a night of food and fun as we usher in the Christmas season.  We will gather at 5:30 pm with dinner served at 6:000 pm. The live auction will begin at 7:00 pm. Please notify Karen Earing-Winter if you plan to attend.

SILENT auction items need to be at the church by Nov. 22nd, so they can be on display for Sunday, Nov 23rd and the following Sunday, Nov. 30th.
Someone will be at church on the 22nd to receive items from 10am until 12:00 or 12:30 pm.

Our purpose:

To nurture and grow our faith through devotions, prayer, and support of local missions designated by our members. Through these actions we are dedicated to help build an inclusive, caring community of women within our church.

Shalom Circle currently supports a variety of ministries locally, regionally and globally. In addition to our ministry support the Shalom Circle also:
  • Oversees and maintains the church kitchen
  • Plans and provides food for funeral meals
  • Provides memorials to the church or designated charity for deceased church members
  • Provides refreshments for the annual Easter sunrise service
  • Assists with refreshments during Vacation Bible School
  • Provides monetary gifts or showers for weddings and babies in our congregation
  • Hosts brunches for circle members celebrating their 90th birthdays
Proceeds from various fund raisers as well as our yearly December dinner and auction help fund our ministry programs.

Shalom Circle meets monthly on the first Saturday at 10:00 AM in the fellowship hall of Jonesborough Presbyterian Church. There are no meetings held in July. The October meeting is the second Saturday because of The Storytelling Festival. The December meeting is held as a church-wide dinner and auction. We invite you to come and learn more about ways you can live out our mission to reflect, grow, and serve.
