The class uses The Present Word, Presbyterian Curriculum, which covers biblical, theological themes helpful for present times. The class is primarily group discussion, based on the weekly reading. Each quarter consists of 13 weeks - spring, summer, fall and winter with a unifying theme. We welcome newcomers. Book Study:
Join Us! The Book Study resumes Sept 8 with a showing of the short documentary “Godspeed,” the story of a pastor who learned to listen and work at Jesus pace. It’s a way to welcome a season of slower, more engaging relationship with each other and with God. (And the Scottish scenery is gorgeous.)
Then we’ll discuss the preface of our new book, How to Pray by Peter Greig.
How to Pray is a raw, real, and remarkable how-to-guide on prayer for everyone―from the committed follower of Jesus to the skeptic and the scared. Full of biblically sound wisdom, How to Pray will offer honest encouragement and real-life methods to refresh your spirit, revitalize your faith, and help you practice life-giving and lifechanging prayer.
Please order your copy online or contact Suzanne by Sept 2 if you wish to have a copy.
We hope to see you Monday, Sept. 8 from 6:00-7:15 in the Fellowship Hall for the first of our weekly gatherings this fall.
